Ein „Polo für den Urban Jungle“ soll er sein, der jüngste Spross aus dem Hause Volkswagen. Der Kleinwagen hebt sich mit Unterfahrschutz an Front- und Heckstoßfänger sowie mit schwarzen Abdeckungen an Radläufen, Schwellern und Türen auf den ersten Blick von seinen Geschwistern ab. Dazu gibt es noch silbern lackierte Außenspiegel, eine silbern eloxierte Dachreling und zwei neue Metallic-Farben „Honey Orange“ und „Titanium Beige“. VW hat den Cross Polo zwar nicht mit Allradantrieb, dafür aber mit leicht erhöhter Bodenfreiheit ausgestattet, die ebenso wie die serienmäßigen Sportsitze dem Fahrkomfort zu Gute kommt. It's interesting, by the way, how the sales figures for the cross version of the Polo have so far differed according to the federal states: In Burgenland they were lowest at 1% of total Polo sales, in Carinthia and Styria they reached at least 25 percent each.
