Volkswagen: Rupert Stadler leaves

Rupert Stadler, ehemalige Volkswagen AG und Audi AG-Vorstand.

Rupert Stadler is leaving the company with immediate effect and will no longer work for the Volkswagen Group. The background is that due to his ongoing pre-trial detention, Stadler is unable to fulfill his duties as a member of the board of directors of Volkswagen AG and Audi AG and instead wants to concentrate on his defense. The contractual settlement is linked to the course and outcome of the criminal proceedings. Rupert Stadler began working for Audi in 1990. Since then he has worked continuously in the Volkswagen Group. He has been a member of the Board of Management of Audi AG since January 1, 2003 and Chairman since January 1, 2007. On January 1, 2010, he was also appointed to the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG.
