Volkswagen is the world's largest automobile manufacturer and is committed to the Paris Climate AgreementThe goal has been set to completely reduce CO emissions by 2050₂-neutralto become. The implementation is called “Way to Zero” and is also being implemented in Austria. 
Volkswagen's strongest tool is the modular electric drive system, or MEB for short, and the brand's ID family based on it. The start of 2020 was the new ID.3, the first in terms of carbon footprint₂-neutral electric car in the world (including supply chain) – according to Volkswagen.

Volkswagen is on the “Way to Zero”, on the path to emission-free mobility for everyone. The long-term goal is thatComplete decarbonization of the fleet and the company by 2050. The group is planningto bring up to 75 pure electric models onto the market by 2029andplus around 60 hybrid vehicles(Plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid). 
What is crucial, however, is the complete ecological balance and that is why Volkswagen does not just build electric cars, but invests in the entire life cycle from raw materials to recycling, from vehicle development to the raw materials required, from logistics to production, from the first to the last kilometer on the road, from deregistration to recycling. And the topic of green electricity in particular is in good hands in Austria. When customers receive their CO₂-neutral ID and consistently rely on green electricity over the course of the car's life, then the ecological balance is correct in all facets.
