The electric version of the VW Golf is in no way inferior to its combustion engine brother when it comes to comfort and driving pleasure. From 0 to 100 in just over 10 seconds is acceptable and 140 km/h on the highway is easy without having to pedal a lot. There is also enough space for five people and the cargo space, which can be easily expanded with separately folding backrests, is also satisfactory. In “Eco+” driving mode, the engine and auxiliary units run on low power. Additional range can be generated through brake energy recovery. Range problem: What generally applies to electric vehicles essentially applies to the e-Golf: emperor in the city, beggar in the open air and betrayed and sold on the highway.
