The Swedish electric car brand Polestar is continuing its expansion: more new markets, doubling the retail space.

During 2021, Polestar will launch in nine new markets, increasing its presence to 18 markets worldwide. By the end of the year, the number of stationary locations worldwide will also double. One of the new markets is Austria, where Polestar moved into its new Polestar Space in downtown Vienna last week.
In addition to the proven retail approach of Polestar Spaces, which are typically found in city centers, the brand is also introducing the so-called “Polestar Destinations”. Both – Polestar Spaces and Polestar Destinations – offer those interested the same experience-oriented access to immerse themselves in the Polestar brand and take a test drive. In the future, destinations will be located in larger, easily accessible locations outside the city. In the event of a purchase, you will also handle the vehicle handover to end consumers.
"We are expanding extremely quickly, both in markets where we already have a presence and in new markets. For a brand that has only been operating for just over twelve months, this type of footprint is unprecedented," said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. "Our goal is to continue to grow at a comparable rate and enter new markets in 2022. This constant expansion combined with our new retail concept will help exceed our owners' expectations."
