With over 900 training days, 2019 was a record year for the Garanta Academy. One reason for the extremely increased demand was the IDD-related events, especially for the vehicle trade. Many of these events were held in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, such as the insurance training courses at the master classes at the WIFIs. "In the coming year there will be initial reviews of the IDD training requirements. We would therefore like to invite motor vehicle companies to make use of our training opportunities - be it in the form of stationary events or online," says Erwin Mollnhuber, Garanta's permanent representative. Garanta has recently started offering 15 IDD training courses with a total of eight hours of training via its Moodle platform. This covers half of the 15 hours of training per year required by IDD. In addition, needs-oriented training events on a wide variety of subject areas are offered across Austria. The specific content - from vehicle insurance-specific topics to sales support - is determined individually at the request of the participants.

"The legal training requirements should not be the only motive for taking advantage of training in the field of motor vehicle insurance. Additional contribution margins from the brokerage of insurance are becoming increasingly important for the car dealership. Whether it is the car dealership owner himself or one of his employees: with sound training in the field of motor vehicle insurance, it will be easier to turn the pure car customer into a full customer of the car dealership," explains Mollnhuber. All Garanta Academy seminars are calculated at cost price and can be attended at low course fees.
