Continentalrepresents its brand identityThe VDO product brand in the passenger car spare parts business was completely converted to Continental. With this step, the Continental brand is intended to gain further importance in the automotive supplier and tire manufacturer's range of passenger car spare parts.
"For our customers, Continental stands for comprehensive technological expertise, such as driver assistance systems and networking, a uniquely broad portfolio and the high quality of one of the world's largest original equipment manufacturers. We would like to emphasize this know-how even more in the future with the brand change. Our strong and very successful premium brake brand ATE will of course remain intact."says Peter Wagner, who heads the OE & Aftermarket Services business segment at Continental.
The changeover will not change the products:"Original remains original. Our customers can continue to rely on the proven premium quality of the original equipment.", emphasizes Wagner. Everything new
TheConversion concernsnext toPackaging, catalogandWebsitethose tooWorkshop concepts. While the catalog and website already have the Continental design, the packaging is being gradually changed. In addition to the new packaging, the workshop concepts previously managed under VDO will also be renamed: VDO Electronics Partner will become Continental Electronics Partner and the VDO Diesel Repair Partners will become Continental Diesel Repair Partners. The new, uniform Continental brand identity not only aims to offer high-quality spare parts in original manufacturer quality, but also continues to provide first-hand know-how - through technical information, marketing support and training.
