In addition to an increase in sales of 10% compared to 2020, Doppler, Austria's largest independent and private gas station operator, was also able to increase sales volumes by 10%, meaning that the Turmöl Group grew twice as fast as the Austrian mineral oil market. While the Mineral Oil Association reports a moderately growing market of around 5% compared to 2020, Doppler was able to achieve fuel sales growth of more than 8% with the tower oil network. Sales volumes are at the same level as in 2019, i.e. at pre-crisis levels.

Growth with electricity sales

“We are particularly proud that, thanks to our newly implemented tower power stations, we were able to more than double our electricity sales to over 300,000 kWh in 2021. We thus achieved a new all-time record,” reports Managing Director Bernd Zierhut. But even if the new business model finds more and more users, the electricity cannot still be represented with any contribution margins. In the liquid gas sector, Doppler continued to grow in volume and has clearly asserted itself as number 2 on the Austrian market with sales of more than 21,000 tons of propane and butane. “The results of ordinary business activities will be available in March 2022, but from today's perspective we can already say that the final result will seamlessly follow the series of very good results of recent years,” says Zierhut.
