“Almost every current combustion engine – whether diesel or petrol – is equipped with a turbocharger, because otherwise the strict emissions limits could not be met,” says Walter Müllberger. As early as 1993, he and his brother Manfred specialized in trading and repairing turbochargers - at a time when performance-enhancing air turbines could only be found in racing and sports cars. Today, Turbo Twins offers a wide range of turbochargers for cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, construction machinery, stationary engines and boats, sells all common turbochargers from the brands Garrett and Borg Warner Turbosytems, IHI, Mitsubishi and Holset and also undertakes repair work for these makes. “The workshops are still open, we are only noticing a slight decline in orders,” says Walter Müllberger in a current management report. He is confident about the next and future future. “We are a team of five people, and none of us will have to go on short-time work in the foreseeable future.”
