TU Vienna presents a new further training concept
“As the head of one of the leading European research institutions in the fields of technology and business, I am proud to be able to present the newly aligned Academy for Continuing Education as a modern training partner for our graduates and representatives from business and industry.” With these words Univ.Prof. Dr. Sabine Seidler, Rector of the TU Vienna, a new postgraduate training concept. Specialists and managers in particular face enormous challenges in actively shaping the necessary change processes and implementing them profitably in their organization.
Due to the growing challenges for the economy and society, the TU Vienna is experiencing an increasing need for individualized further training. The team from the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education (ACE), led by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Güttel developed an innovative further training concept that combines science, technology and business and is intended to promote the exchange of knowledge between TU Vienna, society and business.
Special MBA programs
To this end, ACE recently launched special MBA programs in the field of management. In addition to the new programs on the current topics of Digital Transformation & Change Management, Strategic Management & Technology or Innovation, Digitalization & Entrepreneurship, the proven General Management MBA has also been revised to meet needs in cooperation with the Danube University Krems. This can now be completed either part-time in four semesters or as a full-time course in two semesters, which is unique in Austria.
The new Tech MBA programs in the areas of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Operations Management, Mobility Transformation, Automotive Industry or Modern Workplace & Facility Management are intended to strengthen the specialists and managers of medium-sized businesses, often hidden champions, who need not only management and leadership expertise but also technical know-how in global competition. The programs are supplemented by practical insights into the relevant fields of technology development in companies.
Prof. Güttel, Dean of the Academy for Continuing Education, knows from experience that “above all, the ability to lead teams and master technological change processes is essential to be successful as a manager.”
