Suzuki Swift Sport: The yellow flash

Feel: Bright yellow is a matter of character - the colorful metal dress calls for the corresponding personality behind the wheel. Self-confidence and self-control are required, because the sports version of the charming Suzuki small car Swift only develops its qualities in expert hands. The thick, flat-bottomed leather steering wheel sits comfortably in the hand, and the well-shaped sports seats offer comfort and lateral support.

Drive: Only 970 kilograms of empty weight over a length of 3.89 meters – this makes it easy for the 140 hp turbo petrol engine. The speedster reaches the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in 8.1 seconds and the top speed is said to be 210 km/h. The direct steering and the excellent chassis, which is lower than the basic version, actually convey pure driving pleasure, only the strong steering forces when accelerating in curves make you long for rear-wheel drive.

Load: Suzuki manages to square the circle and also offers the back seat passengers in the small car a pleasant amount of space and knee room. The trunk volume is in the usual range between 265 and 947 liters.

Conclusion: A hot hatch for singles who aren't afraid of making a strong appearance, or a fun second car for parents who love sporty short trips. Only the tiny tank, which only holds 37 liters of petrol, mars the otherwise very successful overall performance of the Swift Sport.
