SUV challenger from China
The Skywell ET5 electric SUV from China is now also available in Austria and is the largest electric SUV on the market.

SUV challenger from China
Modern and straightforward on the outside, spacious and family-friendly on the inside, 204 hp under the hood, a range of 460 km and a price advantage over the competition of 30-50 percent. The Skywell ET5, which is now also available in Austria, is a real declaration of war on the SUV manufacturers in Europe and the USA. The Chinese manufacturer Nanjing Golden Dragon recently presented its almost 4.7 meter long electric vehicle in Vienna's Palais Auersperg, currently the largest model in its class. The car consumes 17.2 kWH per 100 kilometers, and the battery is charged from 30% to 80% within 30 minutes with a maximum of 80 kW. Since the basic equipment is also the full equipment, the Skywell ET5 has electric seats with a reclining function as well as lane keeping and parking assistants as well as automatic adaptive cruise control on board.
Price as a declaration of war
“The body of the ET5 is made of 16 parts, which means greater safety for the occupants – and that they can open the panoramic roof,” says Michael Resch, managing director of the Austrian general importer eMotor MR GmbH. Compared to equivalent models, the ET5 costs around 30 to 50 percent cheaper to purchase, starting at 44,599 euros including the funding bonus. “The quality of the cars is really high,” says Hannes Meissner, second managing director of eMotor MR GmbH. Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Co. Ltd. has so far appeared primarily as a manufacturer of electric buses, but has also been producing cars for a few years now. The sales network in Austria is currently being set up, and there is already a service partnership with some Bosch workshops. The delivery time for the cars is currently 12 weeks; test drives are possible in Rekawinkel in Lower Austria, not far from the Vienna city limits. Info at www.skywell-emotor.at
