An exhibition of current electric and hybrid models from Renault Zoe to Tesla Model Vocational school director Markus Fuchs reported that today one in four vocational school students in the final classes is also completing training to become a high-voltage technician. Deniz Kartal, managing director of the training institute for occupational safety Evalus, emphasized that e-mobility opens up many opportunities for new service offerings, but at the same time it also brings with it new dangers. Dealing with high-current parts in the vehicle needs to be practiced; training in Austria follows the OVE guideline R19. New is an EVAL logbook in which automotive technicians can document their experience and knowledge. Afterwards, Peter Gollob, product manager at AVL Ditest, presented the HV Savety 2000 measuring device, which was specially developed for fault diagnosis in hybrid and electric vehicles. Dominik Jahn, who is responsible for quality management at the e-mobility startup Kreisel Electric, traveled from Upper Austria. In his lecture, he reported on the Kreisel battery, which is produced in small series and can be used to extend the NEDC range of an E-Golf to 430 kilometers.
