Smatrics is building 100 new fast charging stations
In April of this year, Smatrics and EnBW AG, Germany's market leader in fast charging, announced the formation of their joint venture Smatrics mobility+ GmbH. In the future, the company will operate and expand Austria's largest high-power charging network. After receiving approval from the responsible antitrust authorities in Germany and Austria, Smatrics mobility+ is now starting its work. Smatrics takes on the role of technical service provider for the joint venture in accordance with its expertise. A charging power of 300 kW allows electric car drivers to charge electricity for a range of up to 100 kilometers in five minutes, depending on the vehicle. The new fast charging points are to be built along motorways and in inner-city areas. The new locations are designed in such a way that they can be quickly upgraded with additional charging stations in order to meet the increasing popularity of electric cars.
