With a future-oriented idea, Genol wants to make a contribution to avoiding plastic and enable easy filling and precise dosage of window cleaners.

In the future, drivers will be able to refill windshield cleaner directly at the gas station. Genol is the first Austrian company to test dispensers in a pilot project at the Bruck/Leitha and Wilfersdorf locations, from which the liquid can be filled easily and directly into the container in the engine compartment of the car, similar to the petrol pump. Refilling is possible as part of the refueling process or separately. This pioneering idea avoids plastic and protects the environment, and the dispensers also enable precise dosing and precise filling without spilling. After a successful test phase, the concept is to be expanded to other gas stations.
"Genol wants to sustainably avoid plastic and act in an environmentally friendly manner. With the windshield cleaner dispensers we are meeting this goal and our responsibility as a company. At the same time, we offer our customers a double benefit: the annoying plastic canisters in the trunk are a thing of the past and they make a simple contribution to environmental protection," says Genol's managing director, Emanuel Guelfenburg.
"I am pleased that Lower Austria is the location of this pioneering project for plastic avoidance, because it corresponds to our goals in climate and environmental protection. Since drivers also benefit in several ways, I hope that the idea will be implemented at other gas stations and find imitators. Together we can make a contribution to protecting the environment," emphasizes the Lower Austrian state parliament member, Kurt Hackl.
Cleaner for every season
In order to take advantage of the offer, drivers can either authorize themselves at the payment terminal or refill the fluid and then pay in the shop as usual. This gives you a high-quality ready-made mixture from Genol that is adapted to the season: In winter, the high-quality Genol Bio-Clear Winter is offered with freeze protection down to minus 25 degrees Celsius, and in summer, Genol Bio-Window Cleaner Summer. Both windshield cleaners are ideal for windshield and headlight systems as well as fan nozzles. They also clean streak-free, have a fresh citrus scent and are compatible with paint and plastic.
