A total of twelve of the most beautiful historical versions of the iconic small car Renault 5 as well as the prototype of its planned successor, presented in 2021, can be seen at the French automobile manufacturer's stand. The 46th edition of Retromobile will take place in Paris from March 16th to 20th. “At the Renault stand, visitors can rediscover the history of the model and take a look into the future of the brand with the Renault 5 prototype,” said Hugues Portron, Director Renault Classic. The 820 square meter exhibition stand is modeled on the logo that was designed for the anniversary celebrations. The twelve historical models from the Renault Classic collection recreate the number 50: On the five, visitors can trace the history of the Renault 5 from the first models that rolled off the assembly line in 1972 to its successor, the Supercinq. The zero directly next to it is dedicated to the trendy color palette of the Renault 5. The racing versions are also represented at the stand.

The Renault 5 Prototype, the series version of which will hit the streets in 2024, provides a glimpse of the future. The concept car presented in 2021 is clearly recognizable as a direct descendant of the legendary Renault 5, not just by its name. The designers also managed to reinterpret the design language of the original presented in 1972.
