Renault: significant loss in the first quarter

In a global market environment strongly influenced by the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Renault Group achieved sales of 10.125 billion euros in the first quarter of 2020 (-19.2 percent at constant exchange rates). Renault Group global registrations (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) fell by 25.9 percent to 672,962 vehicles sold in the same period. The overall market fell by 24.6 percent. On April 9, 2020, the Renault Board of Directors decided to propose to the general meeting on June 19 that no dividend be paid to shareholders for 2019. Given the uncertain coronavirus situation, the Group is currently unable to provide a reliable forecast for the Renault Group's results in 2020.
