"We received the decision of the cartel court in the case Büchl GmbH against Peugeot Austria GmbH in mid-May. This decision of the cartel court is partly very surprising to us. Many of the statements made by the first court on the points that approved the application are simply incomprehensible to us. In our view, they do not correspond to the results of the previous proceedings.
At the same time, we welcome the rejection of the application on several key points. However, we will of course lodge an appeal against the approved points of the decision. We therefore assume that the decision in this form will not become legally binding.
In this context, we would like to point out that the decision is currently not final and that after an appeal has been lodged, the Supreme Court will be called upon to decide the case. The outcome of the legal dispute therefore remains to be seen.”
