From now on, OMV is launching several new products on the market under its new own brand. The launch is with OMV motor oils, which replace the existing Bixxol brand. The new lubricants for cars, motorcycles and trucks are available at all OMV gas stations in Austria.
"In order to meet the strict specifications and approval criteria of the automobile manufacturers, the new OMV engine oils are developed using the most modern engine oil technologies. In this way, we ensure that all requirements are met, regardless of season and weather"says Wilfried Gepp, head of the OMV Austria gas station business.
The OMV engine oil special up SAE 5W-30 (Ultimate Performance) aims to be the flagship product of OMV's extensive range. The synthetic, low-friction engine oil with a reduced-ash formulation has been tested under the toughest conditions to guarantee optimal performance for every situation: State-of-the-art additive technology is intended to offer better wear protection than conventional engine oils. Special cleaning additives should also be used.
The new OMV engine oil special C2/C3 SAE 5W-30 was developed as a “premium-performance low SAPS” (sulphate ash, phosphorus, and sulfur) lubricant and is considered the “combined specialist”. Its synthetic base components are combined with high-tech additives to ensure high lubrication resistance, wear protection and excellent low temperature performance. It combines the two popular ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers' Association) specifications C2 and C3. For diesel and petrol engines with exhaust aftertreatment.
“The generalist” among the new OMV engine oils is “Universal Top Up SAE 5W-30” and is said to be a true all-rounder in the OMV premium product range. The synthetic formulation, adapted to the latest engine developments, optimizes the engine oil for a wide operating temperature range and ensures its compatibility with all mineral or synthetic oils. It aims to be the best choice for emergencies, especially when the engine oil recommended by the automobile manufacturer is not readily available.
