The internal friction caused by the piston movement leads to loss of efficiency in the engine, fuel consumption increases and engine durability suffers. The new OMV MaxxMotion Super 100plus additive formula is said to include a new friction modifier. The new additive aims to reduce friction, especially in highly stressed areas.
The high octane number of at least 100 and the reduced friction should lead to maximum efficiency in all types of gasoline engines, including the latest generation of engines with direct injection. In addition to optimized fuel efficiency, the new additive package should also include protection against fuel-related corrosion and deposits in the engine.
MaxxMotion Super 100plus, together with MaxxMotion Performance Diesel, is the only fuel in Austria to be awarded the Austria quality mark. An important criterion for preservation is the share of Austrian added value, which must be at least 50 percent. “Awarding the Austria quality mark for our OMV MaxxMotion fuels confirms our work, which we want to share with our customers as part of our continuous development,” explains Gernot Gollner, head of the gas station business in Austria.
