Austrians save less on used VW Golfs
AutoScout24 purchasing power mirror shows: prices are falling, purchasing power is increasing. According to AutoScout24, Austrians will need an average of 6.1 months' salary in 2024 to be able to afford a used VW Golf - 0.6 months less than in the previous year. This noticeably improves purchasing power.

Austrians save less on used VW Golfs
The current AutoScout24 used car purchasing power mirror shows that Austrian drivers are getting closer to their dream car again. For a used VW Golf, an average of 16,979 euros is required this year, around three percent less than in 2023. With an average net income of 2,768 euros, this results in a savings period of 6.1 months.
In a European comparison, Austria is in the middle: Belgians get their Golf the fastest with 5.7 monthly salaries, while Italians save the longest with 9.6 months. The Golf remains the best-selling used car model on AutoScout24 and serves as an indicator of purchasing power and price developments in Europe.
