Bridgestone has built on this experience with the newPotenza Sportdeveloped a high-performance product based on state-of-the-art technology. Goal: To offer a new standard in high-end sporty performance and top-in-class performance on dry roads, supported by outstanding wet performance.
In a premium segment comparison, TÜV Süd certifies that the Potenza Sport has excellent values for dry braking (shortest braking distance on dry roads) as well as vehicle stability in curves and on straights. In further tests by TÜV Süd, it was also rated as the best tire for cornering and handling on wet roads and carries this accordinglyEU tire label “A” for wet grip.
Developed with end users in mind
At the start of the development phase, Bridgestone conducted extensive market researchover 3,800 end consumers were surveyedbecame. The feedback served as important information for engineers and technicians to design a tire that successfully meets drivers' needs and expectations for control and confidence.
To achieve the performance of the Potenza Sport, Bridgestone uses various new, innovative technologies in tread design, rubber compound and carcass construction. Several new technologies have been integrated into the profile design, including the innovative 3D sipes for high block rigidity. It should enable shorter braking distances and higher mileage. The innovative tread mixing process is designed to use an improved formula for maximum wet and dry performance. Through the optimized carcass construction, the Potenza Sport aims to achieve maximum stability at high speeds and precise steering feedback while simultaneously improving rolling resistance.
