As of February 1st, a well-known face in the domestic automotive industry will take over the management of Opel in Austria.

New Opel boss for Austria
Sebastian Haböck will lead Opel's fortunes in Austria as the new brand director from February 2021. The lawyer and graduate of the University of Vienna has been working within Groupe PSA since 2002 in various positions, for example as sales director of the Citroën brand or as director of the Peugeot brand within the import organization. Most recently, as Managing Director, he has been responsible for all corporate activities of the new and used car trading company PSA Retail Austria since February 2018.

As the only German brand within the group, Opel has a high status and I will take all the necessary measures to lead Opel to new sales successes in this country. With the upcoming product offensive starting with the new Opel Mokka and the Opel Crossland as well as the electric offensive in the passenger car and commercial vehicle sector, we have many new trump cards in our hands. We will use these, to move Opel forward.”
Sebastian Haböck's predecessor Pierre Deneus led the Opel brand in Austria since October 2018. During his tenure, he specifically made important changes to prepare the brand for the future. After his contract expires, Deneus is now returning to Belgium to take on an international role within the Opel brand.
