New Toyota dealers in Salzburg and Vienna

After long-time Toyota partner Frey Automobile recently announced that three locations (Wien-Arsenal, Wiener Neustadt and Salzburg) will be closed at the end of September, Toyota Austria is looking for new partners for the open sales areas.
The first decision was made by the international automotive trading group AVAG, which will open a Toyota location in Salzburg this year. Further locations in Vienna are planned.
“With AVAG Group we have managed to find a new partner who is a perfect fit for us due to its many years of experience, both with the Toyota brand and in Austria.”', says Heiko Twellmann, Managing Director of Toyota Austria.

Salzburg

AVAG and Toyota Austria have agreed that the Toyota brand can be sold and serviced at ÖFAG (Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse) in Salzburg from October 2020 at the latest. An existing showroom is now being adapted to provide a new point of contact for customers at the launch of the new Toyota Yaris and in time for the winter tire season.
The long-standing Toyota partners Bammer (Salzburg, Siezenheimer Straße 41) and Meiningner (Anif, Salzachtalbundesstraße 109) continue to operate in the Salzburg area and have already created additional capacity, for example for the upcoming tire storage.

Vienna

AVAG will also take over sales and service for Toyota in Vienna. Intensive exploratory discussions are currently being held for several locations in order to be able to get started at the turn of the year.

AVAG is one of the leading automobile trading groups in Europe, with a majority stake in automobile trading companies in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia. The company sells around 130,000 vehicles per year, generates sales of around 2.4 billion euros and employs 5,200 people at a total of 180 locations.

In Austria, AVAG currently sells the brands Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Kia, Peugeot and Nissan at 26 locations.
AVAG is also closely linked to the Toyota brand and operates 15 Toyota and three Lexus companies in Germany.
