As of April 1, 2025, Gudrun Zeilinger will take over brand management of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, succeeding Thomas Herndl, who will take up another role within Porsche Holding.

In her new role as brand manager for Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Gudrun Zeilinger will report directly to Porsche Austria CEO Wilfried Weitgasser. Zeilinger (53) has been working at Porsche Holding since 2002, where she has held various areas of activity: She started as Head of Marketing and Product Management at Seat, first took over the marketing management of “Das Weltauto” in 2015, before being responsible for brand management there from 2019. In June 2023, the Wels native joined the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand as Head of Sales and Marketing. Now the next step is taking over the brand management. In addition to her full-time job, Gudrun Zeilinger has been a trainer for adult education at the BFI since 2012 in the areas of marketing, online marketing, media planning and as a lecturer in apprentice training. She is currently completing her Digital MBA training at the TU Vienna.
