New Bible” for electrical service tools

Electromobility is on the rise. Around 26,500 electric cars have been newly registered in Austria in the year to date up to October 2021, the number of electric cars has broken the 70,000 mark and, according to estimates by the industry association BEÖ (Federal Association for Electromobility Austria), will still reach 80,000 for the year as a whole. A total of over 400,000 electrically powered vehicles will be newly registered in Germany in 2021 and around one million vehicles will be electric on the road from 2022.

It is therefore clear that this is a future market for the workshop. If you want to position your services well for this target group, you need the right tools.

This is exactly where the German tool specialist KS Tools comes in. He has now released a new special catalog that deals exclusively with this new vehicle category. This catalog already contains 1,500 items on 188 pages. The spectrum ranges from hand tools to complete charging stations.

“Electromobility is much more than a trend and lifestyle,” says Orhan Altin, managing director of KS Tools. "We at KS Tools have been active in this market since 2010 and therefore bring a lot of expertise with us. Our tools were developed in collaboration with electric vehicle partner workshops." Some of our own employees have been traveling in electric vehicles since 2010. “We gain experience with our own fleet every day,” explains Altin.

Electromobility catalog

The national governments' funding programs fuel the market and ensure its continuous development. As the company's boss emphasizes, KS Tools recognized this early on.

Now the company is actively shaping this future: with tools specifically for electrical services. The new electromobility catalog is divided into six chapters. They range from personal protective equipment, surface insulation, measuring test devices, insulated tools and tool sets with protectively insulated tools to the charging infrastructure of the efuturo brand.

This means that workshop professionals can find the entire range and are prepared for electromobile customers. “The catalog can be described as a ‘bible for electrical service tools’ with a clear conscience,” says the company.

High-voltage vehicles require special equipment

The tool specialists rely on quality and certified safety, premium tools that are designed and built by our own experts. High-voltage vehicles sometimes consume very large amounts of electrical power. The high-voltage networks in hybrid vehicles work with direct voltages of up to 650 volts. Anyone who works here with tools that are not insulated is putting themselves and those around them at risk of death. Even with direct currents of around 300 milliamperes, irreversible disturbances to the cardiac impulses can occur. Heart, brain and all organs are in danger. It's best not to expose yourself to it in the first place. That's why every company that deals with electric and hybrid vehicles should be equipped with the right tools.
