Weighing just 4.1 kg and a minimum volume of 1.95 dm3, the innovative battery from Kreisel Electric achieves a capacity of 1 kWh and thus a significantly higher power density than standard battery modules on the market. Thanks to active cooling and heating of the batteries via a liquid medium, all cells are kept at constant temperatures between 25° and 29° degrees, regardless of whether the battery is currently being charged or discharged. The patented Kreisel Electric thermal management enables better range on hot summer days or cold winters. In addition, the technology allows ultra-fast charging with direct current with up to 235 kW charging power for the first time. An 85 kWh battery can be charged to 80% in just 18 minutes, giving the electric car driver a range of around 300 km. Full charging to 100% takes 28 minutes. “Super-fast charging is not a five-year project for us, this technology is state of the art for us,” says Phillip Kreisel.
