65,310 new car registrations were registered in the fourth quarter of 2018 and are therefore 21.7% below the previous year's result (-18,132 units).

The car segments
Only the upper class segment recorded growth in the fourth quarter (+7.3%). However, the Mini Van (-57.3%), Family Van (-53.2%) and Micro Van (-49.4%) segments suffered the greatest losses.
The brands
When it comes to used vehicles, 38% of brands recorded increases. In addition to Škoda, BMW and Ford, Seat (+596 units), Mercedes (+436 units) and Fiat (+422 units) also increased. Audi suffered a loss in unit sales this quarter (-557 units). Nissan (-280 units) and Peugeot (-248 units) also lost.
The segments
The most re-registrations in the fourth quarter occurred in the medium off-road vehicle (+20.1%), station wagon (+11.0%) and micro van (+8.9%) segments. However, the minivan (-5.0%), mid-size (-0.7%) and luxury class (-0.2%) segments suffered losses.
Used car registrations
In the fourth quarter of 2018 there was an increase of 3.1%. 204,207 used vehicles changed hands between October and December 2018 (+6,057 units compared to the previous year).
