New car registrations: 80,855 new car registrations were registered in the first quarter of 2019 and are therefore 10.6% below the previous year's result (-9,619 units).

The car segments
The combination bus (+18.1%) and commercial (+3.3%) segments recorded the highest growth in the first quarter. The Microvan (-47.8%) and Luxury Class (-38.2%) segments suffered the largest losses. The Family Van segment also loses (-29.1%).
The brands
Almost half of the brands recorded growth (+46.4%). In addition to Skoda, Mercedes-Benz and Suzuki, Fiat (+239 units), Volvo (+178 units) and Mazda (+172 units) also increased. Peugeot suffered a loss in unit sales this quarter (-800 units). Renault (-664 units) and Nissan (-554 units) also lost.
The segments
The highest re-registrations in the first quarter occurred in the medium off-road vehicle (+11.2%), sports car (+6.5%) and station wagon (+5.3%) segments. However, the Minivan (-13.3%), Micro Van (-5.8%) and Family Van (-4.5%) segments suffered losses.
Used car registrations
Used car registrations fell by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2019. 206,675 used vehicles changed hands between January and March 2019 (-581 units compared to the previous year).
