Moon aims high
Moon Power GmbH, a brand of Porsche Holding Salzburg, wants to help e-mobility finally achieve a breakthrough by expanding the charging infrastructure.

Moon aims high
By founding Moon Power GmbH as its own e-mobility sales company, Porsche Holding Salzburg is setting the course for the future and wants to significantly expand its business activities in Austria and Germany as well as further internationalization. Among other things, Moon Power GmbH Germany, based in Eching, was founded as a 100% subsidiary of Moon Power GmbH for the core market of Germany. As the new managing director, Markus Tatzer will lead the brand, which is already active in eight Porsche Holding countries, from October 1, 2021.
Moon makes it possible
As an “enabler” for e-mobility, the Allmobil GmbH subsidiary Moon has been offering its customers sustainable, intelligent and data-driven complete energy solutions in eight European countries since 2019 - from wallboxes to photovoltaic systems and fast charging stations. After the successful establishment and start-up of business activities, Porsche Holding Salzburg is now setting the course for independent economic expansion with the spin-off from Allmobil GmbH and the founding of Moon Power GmbH in Salzburg. “We founded Moon around two and a half years ago as Porsche Holding’s flagship project for e-mobility and for the development of the corresponding charging infrastructure,” says Peter Schützinger, spokesman for the management of Porsche Holding Salzburg. “With Moon Power GmbH, we are creating the basis for even better exploiting Moon’s potential as a system provider for electromobility,” says Schützinger. Markus Tatzer, the new managing director of Moon Power GmbH, Salzburg and Moon Power Deutschland GmbH, will report to Wilfried Weitgasser, managing director of Porsche Austria. Tatzer has been working for Porsche Holding as managing director in wholesale and retail in Bulgaria since 2016.
