Mitsubishi managing director Andreas Kostelecky briefly looked back and highlighted the sporting successes in rallying before giving a sober, cautiously optimistic outlook on domestic electromobility: The cars are already on the market, the infrastructure is now quite well developed, but “politics must now finally create the framework conditions that will give e-mobility a boost.” For example, nationwide subsidies, including for private customers, would be conceivable, says Kostelecky. He sees the year 2016 as generally positive. As part of the annual outlook, the new Outlander PHEV was also presented, which has undergone a number of detailed improvements. In addition, according to Kostelecky, separate PHEV flagship stores are planned in all capital cities by 2018 in order to be able to present the complex technology to customers in the best possible way.
