Minister honors Bosch as a company that promotes women
Women still struggle with many prejudices, especially in technology. This makes it all the more important to set an example: Robert Bosch AG has now been recognized for its special support of female employees.

Minister honors Bosch as a company that promotes women

On October 27th, Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler recognized Robert Bosch AG as a company that promotes women in research and technology in industrial and non-university research. The award was presented for the first time and is now given annually by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) to a company that was nominated as FEMtech Expert of the Month in the course of the award and was subsequently selected by a jury of experts as a particularly supportive employer for women.
"Unfortunately, women are often still underrepresented in technology, research and economic sectors. The FEMtech initiative is an important platform to make the immensely important achievements of women more visible. In addition, networking is an important lever that FEMtech offers. Ultimately, and this is particularly important to me, it is also about breaking down stereotypical ideas and removing obstacles that are placed in women's paths," says Climate Protection Minister Gewessler.
Appeal to colleagues
"We are very pleased about this award! It is confirmation of the work we have done and the comprehensive measures we have been taking for years to increase diversity in our company and, above all, to inspire women for technical careers. The award also motivates us to continue to do our best in the future," says Josipa Basta, Manager Recruitment Services and Personnel Marketing at Robert Bosch AG.
Dr. Tamara Pinterich, software programmer at Robert Bosch AG and FEMtech expert of the month for October 2019, was also honored by Federal Minister Gewessler. She emphasized in her statement: "Unfortunately, women in scientific and technical professions are still underrepresented and, without justification, have less confidence in themselves. That's why I appeal to all female colleagues: believe in yourselves!"
