MG attacks with a new SUV
Competition stimulates business. In this sense, MG brings life into the place. The new model Marvel R is a real eye-catcher.

MG attacks with a new SUV
The car manufacturer MG, which is part of the Chinese SAIC Group, has announced new models that will be available at dealers this year. Both are purely electric. One is a station wagon, the other an SUV. The latter goes by the name Marvel R and has it all.
It starts with the striking, independent design (see pictures). Thanks to a relatively long wheelbase of 2.80 meters, the Chinese promise plenty of space in the interior. The 357 liter rear trunk is supplemented by a 150 liter storage space under the hood - but only if you choose the rear-wheel drive variant. Two electric motors mounted on the rear axle provide propulsion.
From a standstill to 100 in under 5 seconds
If that's not enough, you can also order the Marvel R with an additional front motor. According to the manufacturer, the SUV offers a maximum output of 212 kW/288 hp and a peak torque of 665 Nm. The Marvel R sprints from zero to 100 in 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h. According to the car manufacturer, which has recently launched in Austria, the range is more than 400 kilometers according to WLTP.
The battery can be filled to 80 percent using the quick charger within 30 minutes. The interior is dominated by a 19.4-inch touchscreen in the center console, which extends diagonally to the armrests. The market launch is announced for May 2021.
