Multi-grade oils are practical for independent workshops as they fit different types of compressors and therefore reduce storage costs.

Mehrbereichsöle sind für freie Werkstätten praktisch, passen sie doch für verschiedene Kompressortypen und schonen damit die Lagerkosten.

Mahle multi-grade oils for air conditioning compressors

Multi-brand workshops often face challenges when it comes to air conditioning service when it comes to keeping a variety of different PAG compressor oils on hand. If they are opened or stored improperly, they quickly absorb water due to their hygroscopic nature and are then a problem for the waste disposal company. Workshops with PAO oil 68 from Mahle are much more practical and cheaper. It is suitable for many types of compressors, is non-hygroscopic and compatible with many other lubricants and refrigerants. Reliable lubrication of the air conditioning compressor is guaranteed at all times during use.

During production, special additives are added to the basic substance “PAO” (polyalphaolefins), which ensure the excellent properties of the oil. PAO Oil 68 from Mahle represents a unique combination of highly refined synthetic oil and performance-enhancing additives.

PAO oil 68 is still compatible with many other lubricants and refrigerants. When used with PAG oil and refrigerants, it only mixes with other oils to a certain extent as required. In the “resting state” it separates again due to its independent molecular structure and density. As a result, PAO Oil 68 does not form a permanent bond, which means that the necessary viscosity of the oil is maintained and a change in the overall viscosity is excluded. Given this, PAO Oil 68 can be used both to top up and replace the entire amount of system oil.
