Product piracy does not stop at the lubricants industry. According to expert estimates, the share of counterfeit motor oils in the global market is in the double-digit percentage range.

Produktpiraterie macht auch vor der Schmierstoffbranche nicht Halt. Der Anteil gefälschter Motoröle am Weltmarkt liegt nach Expertenschätzungen im zweistelligen Prozentbereich.

The lubricant manufacturer Mannol is meeting this challenge by introducing new screw caps for its containers.
To make it easier for retailers and end customers to check their authenticity, the new screw caps bear the SCT and Mannol trademarks, including the motto “Professionals in Lubricants”. The top of the lid has a non-slip relief and an effect that changes depending on the light. The internal seal now says “Made by SCT”; the notes “Original Quality” and the SCT logo remain.

The lids are in a characteristic silver tone, which can be found on the labels - including product names, viscosity information and elements of the new vehicle sketches.
The new caps are used in all relevant product areas - including engine oils, gear oils, industrial oils as well as operating and service fluids - and are intended for 1 liter, 4 liter and 5 liter canisters.
