Mahle is getting through the crisis stably

With annual sales of 898 million euros, Mahle Aftermarket is stable through the exceptional year of 2020. Now the spare parts and workshop equipment division of the Stuttgart-based automotive supplier is resuming the growth path of previous years. The focus is on four strategic areas: the digitalization of services, information offerings and processes, the development of new business areas for the workshops and the expansion of the areas of thermal management and workshop equipment.

Mahle Aftermarket says it is strongly positioned with a wide range of new innovations in the areas of calibration, transmission oil management and air conditioning service. In addition, the group will increasingly offer aftermarket solutions for alternative drives through to battery and fuel cell maintenance. It already offers around 200 cabin filters for electric vehicles, 80 oil and fuel filters for hybrid vehicles and 70 air filters for vehicles with fuel cell or hybrid drives.

One of the main pillars of the future strategy is digitalization. The company is planning to invest around 16 million euros here over the next three years. These should flow into information offerings that guide the workshops safely through the transformation, as well as into the digitalization and automation of logistics processes.
