Magna lets cars be seen
Magna has developed a front camera system based on Mobile EyeQ5 and uses it to equip a large part of the vehicle range of a European premium manufacturer.

Magna lets cars be seen
Magna and Mobileye have been working together since 2007 to provide car manufacturers and consumers with state-of-the-art driver assistance systems. Magna's Gen5 "One-Box" solution is a system in which the front camera and associated software are combined in a single component. In addition to the lower costs and simplified assembly on the assembly line, another advantage is that this technology can also be used in many other models from a car manufacturer. The system offers the driver safety and comfort functions such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. The camera has an angle of 120 degrees and a resolution of 8 megapixels. Magna provides ADAS technologies to global automakers, including PACE Award-winning trailer angle detection, automatic emergency braking, and rear object and pedestrian detection. These ADAS systems are currently installed in around 250 vehicle models.
