The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the first FCA vehicle to feature the new and innovative camera technology. The new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will also include the camera system, Magna announced at an event for investors and analysts in Toronto. The Eyeris Generation 3.0 system offers a larger field of view and higher camera resolution than its predecessors. In combination with radar, the system supports functions such as lane keeping, automatic high beam switching, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. “Working with FCA US on high-value vehicles such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler Pacifica underscores our leadership in automotive camera systems,” said Swamy Kotagiri, Magna Chief Technology Officer and President of Magna Electronics.
