Liqui Moly: GF Prost increases the Corona consolation

In times of crisis, the true character traits of employees and bosses sometimes become apparent. Right at the beginning of the Corona crisis, Liqui Moly CEO Ernst Prost paid all employees 1,000 euros more gross - a consolation for hard times. Now the lubricant boss is making an additional payment of 500 euros. Thanks to the German tax system, entrepreneurs can give their employees an extra cash injection of 1,500 euros tax-free. Liqui Moly is making use of this immediately: next month the 1000 euros will be calculated back so that the co-entrepreneurs (editor's note: this is how Ernst Prost refers to his employees) also get the tax back and on top of that there will be another 500 euros gross for net. A bonus? No, as Ernst Prost writes in a letter to employees:

"It's not a consolation, it's not a bonus, certainly not a bonus - it's a hardship allowance. Especially for the colleagues who don't have the opportunity to work from home, but still have to come to work in our factory, laboratory and shipping department. That's not easy these days and under these circumstances. And that's why I'm even more pleased to be able to at least relieve you of financial worries. You deserve it! You're doing a great job at the moment!"
