Liqui Moly: Profit slump without worries
Since the Corona crisis, Liqui Moly managing director Ernst Prost has been very present. The latest report is apparently less positive, but there is no reason to worry.

Liqui Moly: Profit slump without worries
Ernst Prost, Managing Director of Liqui Moly, regularly informs his fellow entrepreneurs - as Prost calls his employees - in the form of circulars. This time the news is apparently bad: In April, sales fell by 25 percent. “After four months, however, cumulatively we are still up eleven percent compared to the previous year,” writes Prost. The yield in the first quarter was 50 percent lower than in the previous year. Liqui Moly would have spent ten million euros more on advertising than planned.
Ernst Prost comments on this in detail:"Crisis... And that's why short-time work? Maybe it's just the other way around: No short-time work - therefore no crisis! At least for us it's like that! There will be a dent, but not a total crash. A few scratches and drag marks in the earnings. So what? I also think stopping investments is silly - you're just ruining your future. And if every company does it like that, it's logical that the entire economy is going to the dogs. WE're still moving at high speed and in the right direction... We had planned a lot and now things are going to be completely different. As so often in life, people think and God directs. But we are flexible, adaptable and at the helm day and night - with trust in God and self-confidence. Our strategy: "Something has to happen now so that nothing happens" has worked - at least so far.
