Liqui Moly: €1000 Corona consolation for employees
Liqui Moly boss Ernst Prost is defying the Corona crisis and sending a clear signal: a one-off 1,000 euros more gross for all employees.

Liqui Moly: €1000 Corona consolation for employees
After the first day in emergency mode, Liqui Moly boss Ernst Prost thanked all employees via email. The subject of the email is “Our day today” and summarizes the first day of work in emergency operations. The surprise in the last paragraph: "Now I can imagine that the current circumstances are not only associated with additional time but also financial expenditure for you. Therefore, allow me to give you an extra €1000 gross with your next salary - as a kind of financial Corona consolation."
While other companies have to deal with short-time work or are considering turning things around, the Liqui Moly boss is setting a counterpoint. "The current developments are not leaving us unscathed either; the economic consequences will be brutal. That is precisely why we must now do our part to solve this crisis with our brains and intellect, with commitment and hard work and definitely with courage and confidence."
In Germany, Ernst Prost sees the situation for people as good thanks to the existing security systems compared to Italy, Spain, the USA, South Africa and China, where Liqui Moly is represented with its own staff. “In most parts of the world, the economic consequences are more severe because the social network there is less sustainable or completely absent.” With his gesture, Ernst Prost wants to set an example for the global Liqui Moly family and also provide money that people sometimes urgently need. “Plus, spending money on the economy is exactly what we urgently need now to keep jobs.”
UPDATE:Ernst Prost would now even forego his salary if necessary: "If the situation requires it, I will forego my salary. Everyone sacrifices themselves, the captain has to be a role model so that the team can trust."
