In July, Hödlmayr AG will hand over the “Hödlmayr Classic Car Center” location in Schwertberg (Upper Austria) to the new operator, Car Collection GmbH. Since the Hödlmayr Classic Car Center was founded in 2012, the location has developed into a true mecca for automobile enthusiasts from Austria and all of Europe. Multiple awards including: At the Concours d’Élégance at Techno Classica, unique pearls of automotive history are exhibited, lovingly maintained, lavishly restored and sold to customers all over the world.
With the strategic realignment of Hödlmayr AG in response to the market environment that has changed significantly due to COVID-19 and many other factors, the owners made the decision after detailed analysis to no longer run this subsidiary independently in the future. After intensive discussions under clear benchmarking guidelines, a partner from the regional economic area was found as the new operator in Car Collection GmbH, thus creating the conditions for a seamless transfer of operations.
Car Collection GmbH emerged from Car Collection Wittner GmbH, a specialist for classic cars in Dietach near Steyr that has been established since 1995. The current owner Rudolf Weiermayer, who acquired the previous company in several steps through his company West Consulting, brings the optimal mix of entrepreneurial spirit and passion for this new challenge as an investor and automobile collector. At the same time, the proven and competent employees from both companies were transferred to the new company Car Collection GmbH, based in Schwertberg.
This ensures that even under the new management, customers' high demands for quality, competence and professionalism can be met at all times. That was the only deciding factor for Johannes Hödlmayr to agree to passing on his heartfelt topic to the new operator.
