Kia: 7-year factory warranty secured
Kia Motors set standards in the industry in 2010 with the introduction of a 7-year factory warranty (or 150,000 km). The latest developments surrounding the global COVID-19 pandemic also pose a variety of problems for drivers. Therefore, Kia Motors Corporation has initiated a global extended warranty program for the brand’s vehicles. The Kia Promise applies to 142 countries worldwide and to all vehicles with a manufacturer's warranty expiring between February 1 and April 30, 2020 - this affects approximately 500,000 vehicles worldwide. The program extends the warranty of all eligible vehicles until June 30, 2020. Michael Drug, Head of After-Sales, at Kia Austria said: "It is important to us to respond to our customers' questions. Our customers should not have to worry about the warranty claim due to maintenance carried out later." If the regular service appointment is postponed slightly due to the current Corona crisis, there is a corresponding solution for Kia customers. It is important that the vehicle is quickly brought to the Kia partner for service after the current measures have been resolved. Warranty claims for vehicles with a vehicle warranty end between February 1st and April 30th, 2020 can also be made to your trusted Kia partner until June 30th, 2020.
