Transition periods for equipment requirements from the PBStV amendments from 2008 also expire.

Mit der Umsetzung der Richtlinie 2014/45/EU (periodische Fahrzeugüberprüfung) durch die 34. KFG-Novelle und die 9. PBStV-Novelle wurden einige Anforderungen an Prüfgeräte der Anlage 2a neu definiert. Ebenso laufen Übergangsfristen für Ausrüstungsanforderungen aus den PBStV-Novellen aus 2008 aus.

The following deadlines must be observed:

  • Plattenbremsprüfstände ohne Aufzeichnungsmöglichkeit der Bremskräfte, Pedalkraft und des Überdruckes bei Druckluftbremsanalgen und die Anzeige der Pedalkraft oder des bei Druckluftbremsen eingesteuerten Überdruckes dürfen nur noch bis 31.12.2019 verwendet werden.
  • Die seit Jänner 2009 geltende Übergangsfrist für Spieldetektoren gem Anlage 2a Z 9 PBStV läuft mit 31.12.2019 aus.

Requirements for game detectors from January 1, 2020

The current technical requirements for clearance detectors (device for testing the wheel-axle suspension without unloading the axle) are:

For vehicles up to 3.5 t: (M1, M2, N1 >2800 to 3500 kg and T > 50 km/h to 3500 kg) two power-operated plates that can be moved separately in opposite directions in the longitudinal and transverse directions. Movement control via a hand control device (recommended with an integrated hand lamp) with sufficient freedom of movement (cable length ~ 6m) technical data:

Axle load                   ≥ 2.0 t

Wheel load                    ≥ 1.0 t

Thrust force per side    ≥ 7 kN

Movement per side and direction ≥ 40 mm (longitudinal and transverse direction)

Lifting speed 5 cm/s to 10 cm/s

 

b) for vehicles over 3.5 t: (M2, M3, N2, N3, T, O3, O4, R3, R4 > 3500 kg)

The movement is controlled via a hand control device (recommended with an integrated hand lamp) with sufficient freedom of movement (cable length ~ 12m) Technical data:

Movement per side and direction ≥100 mm (longitudinal and transverse direction)

Approved catalog of defects in accordance with Section 10 Paragraph 4 PBStV

With letter GZ. BMVIT 185.503/0009 IV/ST5/2019 dated May 24, 2019, the 2019 catalog of defects from the Federal Automotive Engineering Guild was approved by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology for use in recurring assessments.

Since the new edition covers significant legal changes, the catalog of defects should be used as quickly as possible for recurring assessments. However, with regard to the period of time required to roll out the electronic version and send the paper version, the BMVIT will inform the authorities entrusted with the revision by letter GZ. BMVIT 185.503/0021 IV/ST5/2019 of June 3, 2019 recommended to the authorized bodies until August 31, 2019 for the change to give time.
