IAA in Munich: First details
As the “Kfz Betriebs” in Germany reports, the contract for the International Motor Show (IAA) for 2021 and 2023 has been signed. This seals the move from Frankfurt am Main to Munich. Apparently the IAA could also take place in Munich in 2025 via a contract option.
The trade fair concept should be clearly different from previous years: "We will be able to experience this IAA in the exhibition halls, on the squares in the city center and on major traffic axes. It should be tangible for visitors with all their senses and 'experienceable' in the truest sense of the word," announces VDA President Hildegard Müller. The aim is to present both new car models and intelligent mobility solutions, including e-bikes, e-scooters and public transport, to the audience. To this end, the topics of climate protection and sustainability should be brought into focus.
"Our goal is to talk to many drivers, experts and lateral thinkers during the trade fair. With a holistic concept on automobiles and mobility, we want to aggressively recruit international exhibitors and offer mobility providers and start-ups a new home," says Hildegard Müller.
