Hyundai impresses on the catwalk
The electrically powered Prophecy concept vehicle received the highest Red Dot award in the mobility and transport category. The electric concept vehicle “45” and the study of the fuel cell truck “Neptune” are also among the winners of the Red Dot Award in the Design Concept Group. The Prophecy and “45” concept vehicles are part of the new Hyundai electric sub-brand Ioniq. The “45” concept, first presented at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, is a futuristic homage to Hyundai design history and reinterprets the Hyundai Pony Coupé Concept study from 1974. The “45” heralds a new era of Hyundai design and provides an outlook on how future topics of electrification, autonomous technologies and intelligent solutions can be integrated into Hyundai models. Alongside the iF Design Award and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), the Red Dot Award is one of the most renowned and recognized design competitions in the world. Every year Red Dot announces the winners in the fields of product design, brand & communication and design concept.
