The “Best of the Best” award is given for meaningful design and represents the highest recognition in the competition. The Hyundai Staria receives the award in the cars and motorcycles category. “The Hyundai Staria is our latest model in the MPV segment, designed with the ‘inside-out’ design approach, creating a new design era for future mobility,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President, Head of Hyundai Global Design Center, about the award. The exterior of the Korean MPV features a modern, streamlined silhouette defined by a flowing front-to-rear curve. The increased passenger compartment ensures comfort and coziness, making the Staria suitable for both professional use and as a family vehicle.

Staria's design is inspired by traditional Korean architecture, also known as Hanok. Classic Hanok residential buildings attempt to generate a living space for the coexistence of humans and nature. Following this philosophy, the Staria also wants to connect the outside with the inside. The lowered window lines and the generous panoramic windows on the sides improve all-round visibility and convey a feeling of freedom. Hyundai's MPV has already received several design awards, including the title “Best Car 2022” from the renowned trade magazine auto motor und sport. The Red Dot Award is organized at the Design Center North Rhine-Westphalia and is one of the world's largest design competitions. In the product design category, awards are given to the best market-ready products of the year that are aesthetically appealing, functional, intelligent or innovative.
