Hyper demand at hollu

The Tyrolean family business hollu finds itself in an exhausting conflict between production at full speed on the one hand and the loss of entire customer segments on the other. With the closures in the hotel and catering industry, hollu lost a significant share of its business. “Unfortunately, other companies are hit much harder,” emphasizes hollu managing director Simon Meinschad. Because all production capacities at the main site in Zirl are running at full speed, the quantities of the relevant disinfection products have been increased and, in collaboration with partners and suppliers, we are constantly working on solutions regarding the availability and ability to deliver the urgently needed hygiene products. Hollu has increased the production of surface disinfection products by more than 70% compared to the previous year. The in-house research & development is also working hard on new products and has developed new disinfection products in record time, for example to counteract the shortage of hand disinfection products, of which 39 tons were already produced in March.
