Honda: Change in management

Shigeki Iwama, neuer President von Honda Central Europe.

As of April 1, 2020, Shigeki Iwama will become the new President of Honda Central Europe. He replaces Roland Berger, who has held this position since 2014. The Honda Central Europe region includes the markets of Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The four markets are controlled centrally from the Wiener Neudorf location.
Shigeki Iwama, currently Manager Planning & Sales Department Power Products Division at Honda Motor Company in Japan, has been working for Honda since 2004 and has already worked in the European and South American markets throughout his career.
Roland Berger has been Country Head for Honda in Austria since October 1999 and has held the position of President Honda Austria since April 2009. In 2014, he expanded his area of responsibility to include the Honda Central Europe region, which he has led as President ever since. As of April 1, 2020, he will be moving to European motorcycle product planning as a consultant for Honda, for which he has already been responsible several times in the past.
Dagmar Zinner will take over the position of Country Head Honda Austria on April 1, 2020 in addition to her previous agendas. She has been working at Honda Austria since October 2001, currently in the position of Manager Public Relations & Marketing Communications Honda Central Europe.
With the change that has now been announced, the company is returning to a rotation principle at management level and is thus adapting to the rapid changes in the market, especially in Europe.
