Honda: Erich Lechner is a top mechanic

48 Honda automobile mechanics from 16 countries took part in the European Honda Technician Competition at the Honda Academy in Erlensee, Germany at the end of 2018. Following the first part of the competition with 760 participants at national level, which was organized via the online training platform Honda Dream Factory and included questions about Honda DNA, vehicle technology, service repair diagnostics, workshop literature and vehicle handover, the best national representatives for the European competition gathered at the Honda Academy, where a full day of challenges awaited the mechanics. They had to demonstrate their practical skills and theoretical knowledge at a total of six stations.

The Austrian Erich Lechner, Honda automobile technician at Auto Hänfling, St. Pölten, was able to make it into the top 3 and will take part in the global Honda technician competition in Japan in May 2019. This success was recognized by Honda's European management - the prize for the dealership, a Panasonic Toughbook, was recently presented to Auto Hänfling in St. Pölten. The award was presented by Yoshiaki Ikehata, Branch President Honda Germany, Satoru Yamada, Vice President Honda Germany and Roland Berger, Branch Director Honda Central Europe, to Claudia and Wolfgang Unterberger – Auto Hänfling management.
